Jennifer first started modeling before embarking on acting career. At the age of 10, she was offered an audition and started modeling for print advertisements. Eventually, she appeared on the covers of Seventeen in 1986 and 1988.
Connelly started her career in 1982 with her debut television series, Tales of the Unexpected. She garnered public attention and recognition with her movie Labyrinth in 1986. Her movie The Hot Spot was a failure, but she was praised for her commendable work.
In 2000, Jennifer appeared in American psychological drama film Requiem for a Dream, directed by Darren Aronofsky. The next year, A Beautiful Mind, American biographical drama film- biography of the mathematician John Nash, bagged her few awards and immense popularity. The movie was a superhit movie grossing more than US$313 million worldwide.
Connelly was awarded a Golden Globe, Academy Award, a BAFTA for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. In 2003, she appeared in Hulk, alongside Bruce Banner. The same year, the world saw her in House of Sand and Fog.
